Job Title: Solutions Architect (Java & AWS) Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Java/AWS Solutions Architect to lead enterprise architecture initiatives supporting high-profile healthcare programs handling sensitive PHI/PPI data, including VIP government healthcare information (Claims, Enrollment, Benefits). Key Responsibilities: Drive cloud migration initiatives (hands-on experience required; SME not required). Design secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise solutions aligned with business and IT strategy. Lead domain architecture modeling (current, target, interim states) and identify optimization opportunities. Architect robust security layers leveraging IBM EIAM for identity and access management. Ensure regulatory, compliance, and healthcare data security standards are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Architecture Review Board, and vendors. Guide reusable architecture patterns and enterprise standards adoption. Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years of Architecture experience Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular Cloud architecture experience on AWS Database expertise: DB2, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQL Agile environment experience Strong understanding of healthcare insurance domains (Claims, Enrollment, Benefits) Experience designing security architecture for PHI/PPI data Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-domain architecture experience
