Solution Architect Specialist

Location: McLean, VA (onsite)

Duration: 12 months contract to hire

Located in the vibrant city of McLean, VA, this role offers the opportunity to work onsite, allowing for direct collaboration with a dynamic team and stakeholders.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 18 years of overall experience, with 8 years specifically in Solution Architecture.
• 15 years of Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience with design patterns and architectural patterns.
• Experience with AIM is preferred.

The unit is seeking a portfolio lead to provide leadership and oversight associated with the Solutions Architecture for Business Applications. You will lead a number of highly visible initiatives to support Multifamily Business and Engineering teams. You will guide your team through transformation into Agile Architecture and align with the Modern Delivery methodology within the organization.

Our Impact:

• Introduce the overall technical vision by defining and establishing the solution architecture.
• Define High-Level Solution Intent, target state architectures, and roadmaps by collaborating with Business Architects, CPOs, POs, CDL, and other partners.
• Create reference architectures and design patterns for consistent implementation.
• Drive development and maintenance of detailed solution intent and product architecture.
• Plan and develop Architectural Runway for new business features and capabilities.
• Identify solution alternatives and new technologies for business needs.
• Leverage Generative AI and AI/ML capabilities to enhance business capabilities.
• Participate in deployment activities to ensure successful deployment.
• Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Build Reference Application/Implementation for reusability and adoption of new standards.
• Develop and maintain Application Design pattern catalog.

Your Impact:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Solution and Technical Architecture creation.
• Ensure alignment of new and existing solutions with enterprise standards.
• Drive product research, RFP/vendor interviews, and POCs for COTS solutions.
• Work with development leads on design brainstorming and review.
• Resolve implementation issues from business or technical requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends in Generative AI/ML and apply to business problems.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in Solutions Architecture and Business Application development.
• Extensive experience in Solution Architecture patterns such as micro-front ends, microservices, etc.
• Prior Software development background.
• 5 years of relevant task management experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern Cloud Native architectures.
• 3 years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience preferred.
• Experience in Generative AI and applicability of AI/ML to solve business problems.
• Experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable.
• Deep knowledge of various enterprise-level platforms preferred.
