Our client, a leader in the life sciences and diagnostics industry, is looking for Senior Software Test Engineer<\/b> <\/span>based in Tucson, AZ.<\/span>

Pay Range : $65/hr on W2<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

We are seeking a <\/span>Senior Software Test & Validation Engineer<\/b> <\/span>who will serve as the <\/span>Product Owner for Test<\/b>, owning the vision, strategy, and execution of the overall testing and validation campaign. This role requires a <\/span>strategic thought leader<\/b> <\/span>who defines <\/span>how<\/i> <\/span>testing enables product quality and regulatory compliance—not a hands -on tactical tester. The ideal candidate has deep experience testing <\/span>software integrated with hardware<\/b> <\/span>in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • <\/p>

    Define Test Strategy & Vision<\/b>
    <\/div>
    Own and drive the end -to -end <\/span>test and validation strategy<\/b>, translating customer and regulatory needs into scalable, risk -based test approaches.

    <\/p><\/li>

    <\/p>

    Product Ownership & Backlog Management<\/b>
    <\/div>
    Build, prioritize, and maintain the <\/span>test backlog<\/b>, author user stories and acceptance criteria, and coordinate cross -team dependencies in support of <\/span>PI and iteration planning<\/b>.
    <\/div>

    <\/p>

    Acceptance & Delivery Accountability<\/b>
    <\/div>
    Formally accept features and user stories using defined <\/span>acceptance criteria and Definition of Done<\/b>, ensuring high -quality, compliant deliverables.
    <\/div>

    <\/p><\/li>

    <\/p>

    Leadership & Collaboration<\/b>
    <\/div>
    Lead cross -functional collaboration across engineering, systems, quality, and regulatory teams while advocating for <\/span>built -in quality and customer -centric design<\/b>.

    Continuous Improvement<\/b>
    <\/div>
    Participate in and influence <\/span>Inspect & Adapt<\/b> <\/span>events, driving continuous improvement in test effectiveness, coverage, and efficiency.

    Stakeholder Communication<\/b>
    <\/div>
    Represent test and validation outcomes internally and externally, clearly communicating complex technical information to diverse stakeholder audiences.

    Required Qualifications
    <\/h3>

    • 8+ years of experience in <\/span>software testing for hardware -integrated systems<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Proven experience in <\/span>FDA or FAA regulated environments<\/b> <\/span>(medical devices strongly preferred)
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong background in <\/span>verification & validation, system -level testing, and risk -based testing<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Experience operating in <\/span>Agile / SAFe environments<\/b> <\/span>with PI planning and backlog ownership
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
