The Print software organization has grown significantly and we need to evolve the way we work to keep up.Job Responsibilities The Platform Product Manager will be responsible for designing developing and managing activities for the Print software platform. This involves working closely with business unit stakeholders to ensure that the platform is meeting their needs and supporting customer-facing HP products and solutions. The Platform Product Manager makes data-driven decisions and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Engineering Architects and Program Managers to drive platform functionality from concept to customer adoption.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to build a scalable secure and reliable Print Software platform.Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.Own the business-specific platform roadmap for services and manage the backlog through constant prioritization. Manage product management requirements coming from various business units and cross-functional teams.Translate stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions.Collaborate with stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization.Translate user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team.Act as an advocate for stakeholders during the specification and development stages.Manage the product lifecycle of functionalities on the Print Software platform.Knowledge & SkillsStrong technical knowledge of Printers Software platform systems including enterprise middleware firmware and embedded systems.Adept at collecting and analyzing input from multiple sources internal customers product managers engineering architecture and management.Significant experience in software development systems engineering or software platform product management.Ability to understand and deal well with rapid development cycles and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty.Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical language and translate between the two.Scope & ImpactAdvises various internal partner and customer teams on the needs and requirements of target markets.Works closely with architects and technology leads directly engaging with internal and external software development teams.ComplexityModerate Some senior management interface frequent cross-functionalcross-organizational interaction on execution of tactics.Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision-making processes.Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.Education & ExperienceFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 10 years of work experience preferably in product management digital or software product development or a related field.atures. The role recruits motivates mentors coaches develops and retains a high-performing team of product managers and product marketers.ResponsibilitiesPlays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.Leads cross-functional teams through agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements.Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholders needs.Collaborates with the software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies product launch plans and marketing collateral.Demonstrates process improvement and project management experience preferably with the implementation of large projects.Education & Experience RecommendedFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 10 years of work experience preferably in product management digital or software product development or a related field.The base pay range for this role is 146650 to 225850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus andor equity applies to US candidates only.
