Software Integration and Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Integration and Test Engineer in Orlando, Florida for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports the Missile Operational Flight Program through software integration, test planning, procedure development, and system validation in a lab environment. The position focuses on integrating in-house and COTS/GOTS components, executing manual and automated tests, analyzing results, and supporting issue resolution across hardware and software systems.

Required Skills

• At least 2 years of experience with C++
• At least 2 years of integration experience
• At least 2 years of experience working in a System/Software Integration Lab performing test planning, procedure development, and execution of manual and automated tests
• At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile team environment using daily scrums, sprint cadence, program increments, and epic-based release schedules
• At least 2 years of experience scripting automated tests and data analysis using tools such as Python or MATLAB
• At least 2 years of experience in both hardware and software integration
• Ability to use COTS or bespoke tools to evaluate software to requirements, identify problems, troubleshoot issues, and provide resolution recommendations
• At least 2 years of experience analyzing software problems

What You’ll Do

• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems
• Translate customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards
• Solve hardware and software interface problems and define input and output parameters
• Ensure integration of complete systems and subsystems
• Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability
• Develop and direct comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations
• Analyze test results and prepare subsystem and system-level evaluation reports
• Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing to verify and validate fixes
