PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Integration and Test Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Software Integration and Test Engineer will support integration and testing activities for missile operational flight software. This role includes developing test plans and procedures, executing manual and automated tests in a System Integration Lab, analyzing results, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and verifying corrective actions through regression testing.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of C++ experience.
• 2+ years of software or system integration experience.
• 2+ years of experience working in a System or Software Integration Lab.
• Experience developing test plans and procedures.
• Experience executing manual and automated tests.
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile team environment using daily scrums, sprint cadences, program increments, and epic-based release schedules.
• 2+ years of experience scripting automated tests and performing data analysis using Python, MATLAB, or related tools.
• 2+ years of hardware and software integration experience.
• Experience using commercial or custom tools to evaluate software against requirements.
• Experience identifying and troubleshooting hardware/software interface problems.
• Ability to provide resolution recommendations to systems and software engineering teams.
• 2+ years of experience analyzing software problems.
• Steel-toe shoes required.
What You’ll Do
• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain integration and test solutions.
• Integrate internally developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems.
• Translate contractual requirements into system test solutions.
• Establish functional and technical test specifications and standards.
• Define input and output parameters and resolve hardware/software interface issues.
• Review and derive requirements for testability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive system and subsystem test plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate testing activities with programs and other organizations.
• Analyze test results and prepare system-level evaluation reports.
• Write discrepancy reports for issues identified during testing.
• Perform integration regression testing to verify incorporated fixes.
• Confirm system performance through verification and validation activities.

• $58.80 per hour
