Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to support a company focused on mission‑critical aircraft flight software and defense aviation systems. This position is on-site at Tinker AFB, OK. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software models and operational flight software across the full lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact mission readiness and the safety of critical defense aircraft systems.
Active Secret Clearance required
Responsibilities for the Software Engineer include:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain system and subsystem engineering software models
- Support full lifecycle development using JIRA for requirements tracking, workflow, and documentation
- Analyze and translate customer requirements and technical specifications into functional software solutions
- Develop and deploy operational flight software for aircraft system monitoring and testing
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards
Required Qualifications for the Software Engineer include:
- 5-7 years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in C and/or ADA programming
- Experience with embedded software design and development (preferred)
- Experience using JIRA for lifecycle management and tracking
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Compensation for the Software Engineer include: Salary Range: $120,000-$170,000 depending on experience
