Your Role

Software Engineer (Mid) - Remote (U.S.)

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Engineer to join a dynamic team building and managing core services for a cutting-edge agronomic software platform. This role focuses on delivering critical authentication and authorization solutions while defining foundational data concepts, including geospatial layer data, that impact the broader organization. Candidates must be based in the United States and reside more than 50 miles from designated office locations to be considered remote.

Pay rate: $60/hr W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver software solutions independently

  • Collaborate within an agile team environment to launch new features and maintain existing functionality

  • Build and manage core platform services supporting enterprise-scale applications

  • Implement robust authentication and authorization solutions

  • Contribute to defining and evolving foundational data models, including geospatial datasets

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Python

  • Experience with Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD)

  • Knowledge of geospatial tools such as Mapbox or ESRI

  • Understanding of authorization frameworks and concepts such as ReBAC (Relationship-Based Access Control)

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an agile team
