Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Mason, OH. The ideal candidate will lead and deliver electrical automation projects for material handling systems by owning PLC design, programming, testing, and commissioning across the project lifecycle.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Lead and execute electrical automation projects for material handling systems, owning PLC programming, commissioning, and system integration.
Develop, test, and deploy PLC, HMI, VFD, and network solutions using platforms.
Review electrical schematics and AutoCAD drawings to ensure accurate implementation and standards compliance.
Perform on‑site testing and commissioning, including FAT, UAT, and customer acceptance testing.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources while providing regular progress reporting.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor engineers to deliver high‑quality, standardized automation solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Controls or Electrical Engineering.
Strong hands‑on expertise in PLC programming HMI/VFD configuration, and material handling automation systems.
Proven project leadership experience with ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and extensive on‑site commissioning activities.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
