What Youll Do Flatiron Health, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer at its New York, NY location.Description: Design, develop and modify software systems, using analysis and mathematical models. Support business operations by maintaining internal data platform for clinical data abstraction. Build enterprise-wide data platforms, libraries and tools using open source and proprietary software, and coordinate installation of software systems. Analyze user needs and software requirements and utilize user feedback to optimize internal data abstraction platform for a more streamlined and more efficient business workflow for cost reduction. Partner with cross functional teams across the company to help them build secure and reliable real-world software and data products quickly. Design strategies for storing data for efficient discovery, understanding and retrieval. Build and improve distributed systems used across the company to transform and orchestrate data. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan new systems or modification of existing systems. Software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Who You Are The position requires the following:o Bachelors degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Applied Mathematical Science, or closely related field and 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Reliability Engineer, Data Analyst or closely related positiono Special Experience: 1 year of experience in each of the following areaso Data Modeling including defining database schema, entity relationships, and ensuring data consistency across serviceso Backend Development implementing server-side business logic, APIs, and services using Python frameworks. o PostgreSQLo Apache Airflow o Cloud Data Management o Product Features Analysis o Web development using CRUD operations o Software testing o Code version control system such as Gito Position allows 100% telecommuting from anywhere within the U.S. Extra Credit * N/AWhere youll worko Worksite: 233 Spring Street, Floor 5, New York, NY 10013o Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.Job Compensation Rangeo Salary Range: $163,401 to $210,038 per yearo Preferred primary location: NYCAn important note on salaryThe annual pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed above.
