We're searching for a Software Engineer II for the calibration team. The calibration team is responsible for ensuring all sensors on all vehicles remain well aligned to support higher-level autonomy functions. Our software ranges from low-level intrinsics models for our in-house FMCW lidar to high-level continuous/online calibration.
In this role, you will:
• Develop efficient algorithms to process sensor data in real-time. • End to end ownership including design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance of online calibration software for the vehicles. • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams such as software, hardware, manufacturing, and operations.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience building software for safety critical applications. Proficiency in modern C++ (17+), with a focus on high-performance, production quality engineering.
Desirable Qualifications
• Experience in sensor calibration for cameras, lidars, radars, and/or IMUs. • Prior experience within robotics or autonomous vehicle domains. • Experience with Eigen or other linear algebra libraries. • Experience with Ceres or G2O or other optimization libraries.
Base Salary Range The base salary range for this position is $139,000 - $223,000 per Year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
