Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $100-$105/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Migrate existing data infrastructure from PostgreSQL to DynamoDB to enhance scalability and performance
- Design, deploy, and implement highly available and resilient systems using Terraform, ensuring best practices to prevent single points of failure
- Split single databases into multiple sharded databases to optimize data management and access
- Contribute to long-term architecture, technology initiatives, and technical roadmaps to support organizational growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, Product, and Program Management to deliver innovative solutions
What's Needed?
- BS / MS in Computer Science or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with Kotlin, SpringBoot, REST API design, database technologies, caching mechanisms, and performance optimization techniques
- Experience deploying and managing production services using cloud infrastructure such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Deep expertise with AWS services including IAM, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL, especially for multi-region deployments and high availability
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
