The Panther Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Safety Engineer to support a mission-critical F-22 System Safety Program in Fort Worth, TX. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior-level engineer with deep expertise in safety-critical software systems, system safety analysis, hazard analysis, and military/aerospace standards.

This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience supporting complex aerospace, defense, or regulated software systems across the full development lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
  • Serve as Software Safety Engineer supporting the F-22 System Safety Team
  • Develop and execute System Safety Program Plans
  • Perform advanced system and software safety analyses, including:
    • Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)
    • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
    • Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)
    • Software Hazard Analysis (SwHA)
  • Support software development, integration, test, and release cycles as a subject matter expert in safety
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate software/system hazards to acceptable risk levels
  • Lead safety-related contractual efforts and mentor team members
  • Coordinate with:
    • Design teams
    • Suppliers
    • Internal leadership
    • Government and military customers
  • Produce technical documentation, reports, and compliance artifacts
  • Support certification and compliance with military and aerospace safety standards
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Systems Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Software Engineering
  • 8+ years of safety-critical software architecture, coding, testing, or systems safety experience
  • Full lifecycle experience with:
    • Hazard identification
    • Risk assessment
    • Safety analysis
    • Verification/validation
  • Experience with:
    • Flight controls
    • Engine controls
    • Fuel / utility systems
    • Landing gear
    • Displays
    • Stores management
  • Strong leadership, project ownership, and customer-facing communication skills
