• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or engineering equivalent rn
• 2-5 years industry experience rn
• Experience with Java programming (including network, multi-threaded, client-server programming) to include code reviews rn
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment rn
• Experience designing and scoping solutions to complex engineering problems given a set of input parameters and goals rn
• Self-motivated and comfortable with working with multiple groups of developers, systems engineers, and testers rn
• Familiarity with using scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, and/or Power Shell rn
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Git, Atlassian tools, Nexus, CM Pro, etc.) rn

Kratos is seeking a Jr. to Mid Software Developer to join an exciting team that will be shaping the future of a new satellite ground system. The position will support dynamic, agile projects implementing a DevSecOps approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include design, development, test, and operational support / user feedback. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on the design, implementation, and maintenance/troubleshooting of new and existing software solutions, primarily within the satellite command and control (C2) domain space.

This candidate must be self-motivated, be a self-learner, and able to work well within a dynamic schedule. Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, as well as communicate with customers and potential system operators. Candidate must be able to use modern, industry standard technologies to efficiently generate estimates and status of design efforts, including materials (such as presentation slides), for use internally as well as externally with customers.
