Seeking an Observability and Monitoring Engineer for a 9-10 month onsite contract in Des Moines, IA.
Responsible for designing and enhancing enterprise-wide monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across AWS environments.
Establish standards for logs, metrics, traces, and alerts; build centralized dashboards; and create actionable alert policies.
Integrate tools like Dynatrace, Graylog, Splunk, and others, rationalize tool usage, and automate deployments using IaC (CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
Partner with teams to improve system reliability, participate in incident management, and mentor team members.
Qualifications include 5+ years of experience with Dynatrace, AWS, monitoring tools, scripting skills, and infrastructure automation.
Required skills encompass AWS services, monitoring platforms, scripting, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
