We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the technical strategy and execution for our agentic experiences team for Selling Partners. You will scope complex projects and deliver simple elegant solutions. You will drive the development schedule from design to release, build innovative GenAI powered agentic solutions to accelerate delivery, and make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market. Your solutions will help achieve our vision of world-class AI-powered experiences. The right person for this role will have proven ability to execute strategically and tactically to turn ambiguous users and business needs to successful products. You can communicate effectively with senior leaders and have the ability to earn trust and influence partner teams. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding leader for a high impact area. Key job responsibilities - Building a best-in-class engineering team that delivers excellent results through rapid iterations - Designing and developing state-of-the-art approaches to solving complex and ambiguous problems - Cultivating engineering and operational excellence through metrics and continuous learning - Providing thought leadership and establishing technical vision for the team - Mentoring and growing superstar SDEs to take on increasingly higher responsibilities Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience - 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams Preferred Qualifications - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
