FPT is a wholly owned business of Cleveland-Cliffs and has an immediate opportunity for a Software Development Manager at our Detroit MI Headquarters.The Software Development Manager will lead the team responsible for the development support and continuous improvement of enterprise software applications across the organization.Summary of ResponsibilitiesLead mentor and develop the software development team in the design development testing implementation and support of business applications.Establish development priorities and manage resources to ensure projects enhancements and support activities align with business objectives.Partner with business leaders and department managers to understand operational needs and deliver effective technology solutions.Provide technical leadership in application architecture system integration development standards and software development best practices.Oversee application support maintenance enhancements defect resolution and technical debt reduction initiatives.Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle SDLC processes including requirements design testing deployment and change management.Promote coding standards source control practices documentation quality assurance and release management procedures.Develop application roadmaps and drive performance reliability modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.Coordinate with internal teams vendors and consultants to support business and technology initiatives.Support application security data integrity compliance backup and disaster recovery requirements.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Software Engineering or a related field preferred.
