Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

As a Software Development & Engineering Lead, you will operate at the intersection of engineering execution and architecture, serving as a technical multiplier across teams. In this role, you will guide engineering leads and influence design decisions to ensure scalable, well-architected, and future-ready systems that power Advisor Services Technology solutions. You will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-impact, full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and tools, while enabling AI-driven capabilities that improve system performance, decisioning, and user outcomes. Your ability to translate complex problems into practical, high-quality solutions will directly influence delivery timelines, technical direction, and overall engineering effectiveness.

Success in this role requires strong ownership, adaptability, and collaboration. You will establish and elevate engineering best practices across CI/CD, testing, observability, and deployment, while mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By influencing without authority, you will align cross-functional teams, refine development processes, and drive measurable outcomes that enhance scalability, reliability, and innovation across the organization.
