Milliman's Seattle Health Practice is looking for motivated college students to join our dynamic Milliman Transparent Product team at our Seattle, WA office. This internship will provide opportunities to engage directly in development, testing, and documentation of innovative software applications. This role is crucial in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our healthcare products.While somewhat flexible on timing, we expect the intern to work onsite from our Seattle office for a 12-week period during the June 2026 - August 2026 timeframe.
About the Team
The Milliman Transparent product team at Seattle Health is a cross functional group of engineers, data scientists, actuaries, and designers focused on building trustworthy, user centered health tech. We develop a web-based platform that gives clients transparent, evidence-backed insights for pricing negotiations, helping drive more equitable prices across the healthcare system. Our culture is collaborative and low ego: we iterate quickly, validate with users, and balance analytical rigor with thoughtful design to deliver measurable impact.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and refine software under direct guidance to streamline healthcare services.
Lead robust testing phases for innovative applications, ensuring peak performance.
Spearhead documentation efforts, encapsulating critical information for end-users.
Engage in the strategic promotion of new products, directly contributing to market success.
Undertake diverse projects, always with a focus on advancing healthcare technology.
To be successful in this role, you have the following qualifications:
Professional Qualifications
Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Experience with computer programming and web development, including but not limited to: SQL, Python, Cloud based development (Azure, AWS) and C# / .NET. Those with real-world or extracurricular projects preferred.
Familiarity with GitHub, CoPilot, Agile, or other code assistance tools.
Strong inclination towards computer scienceand mathematics.
Analytical prowess and organizational mastery.
Clear and concise communication skills.
Commitment to punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work onsite full-time from the beginning of June to mid-August.

Fast learner willing to jump into new languages and technologies.
Strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and decision-making ability, and both the ability and willingness to clearly articulate your ideas.

Location
This position is based out of the Milliman office in Seattle, WA. Applicants must be willing to work onsite full-time. The expected application deadline for this job is April 17, 2026.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $23 - $46 per hour, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to, education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc.
