Position Summary:; Development, execution, and maintenance of software tests.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
These positions will perform software testing on new, enhanced and fixed Child Support application features before the updated software packages are released.
Writing test plans.
Designing and developing manual and automated test scripts based on analysis of software specifications.
Execution of manual and automated tests for new application functions, defects and application regression testing.
Maintaining test cases and ensuring manual tests are migrated into the automated testing tool.
Participating in business requirements gathering sessions.
Creation of test data and performance testing tasks for the application.
Testing may also include application code, middleware code, templates and database tables.
Training and mentoring new members of the project team.
Providing troubleshooting and end-user support/problem resolution when necessary.
Requested Qualifications:
84 months of experience analyzing and interpreting business requirement documents (BRDs) and use cases, participating in Joint Application Development sessions, and seeking clarification from business analysts.
84 months of experience documenting and implementing application test plans, identifying test cases, writing and executing test scripts, identifying and analyzing application problems, and the communication of such to development team.
84 months of experience with HP Quality Center/Microfocus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for testing.
84 months of experience with HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) and HP/Microfocus Unified Functional Testing (UFT) for developing and maintaining automated scripts used to do regression testing.
84 months of experience planning, designing, developing, and executing test strategies based on software specifications for a web-based application in a large, complex and diverse Human Services (Federal, State, or local government) delivery system consisting of more than 100 Screens and more than 100 cross edits.
36 months of experience as a test lead, providing direction and training to other members of the project team
48 months of experience using industry-standard tools, including SQL Navigator, SOAP UI and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or HP Quality Center, to identify, document, track and communicate problems to technical staff.
48 months of experience with HP LoadRunner (or Performance Center) used for load and performance testing.
