--- Project Description ---
This Software Analyst position is required to support continued analysis, development
and maintenance efforts for the NYWIC Data Mart.

--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Work as a liaison among stakeholders including business owners/subject matter
experts to elicit, document, and communicate business and functional requirements
for new reports/extracts or enhancements to existing reports/extracts.
2. Conduct data analysis of business processes, existing systems, documentation and
user needs to document user and functional requirements to ensure data is available
in the datamart and OBIEE to meet requirements for new OBIEE reports.
3. Create and maintain business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use
cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the Business Intelligence
reporting requirements and deliverables for OBIEE reports, dashboards, and ad hoc
tools.
4. Create and maintain functional/technical documentation and other business/system
documentation as required.
5. Work closely with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technical team
members to communicate the business requirements to the technical team for
development of logical and physical dimensional data model reporting requirements
and document functional requirements.
6. Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers, and the business
owners to translate report requirements, provide clarification of business rules,
prioritize development, obtain signoff, and ensure successful delivery of accurate end
user reporting requirements.
7. Provide level 2 support for existing datamart reports: review incoming incidents,
analyze and troubleshoot reported issue, and triage tickets to other team members as
needed. Update ticket based on progress, provide further instructions to users as
needed for successful report generation and work with other team members to
document the resolution and create resolution documents as needed.
8. Review new Service Requests assigned to the team, preform preliminary analysis and
work with the team to capture the high level requirements and prepare high level
estimates.
9. Work with business subject matter experts and the technical team to understand
changes to the source data application and analyze and document the impact of each
change on the Datamart and OBIEE and prepare the impact analysis document and
work with the team to document and plan for updates to the Datamart and OBIEE and
reports.
10. Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business
requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations testing for
accuracy and sign off on deliverables.
11. Facilitate and document meetings including requirements discussions, bi-weekly
touchpoint with business and technical team.
12. Assist in providing training & end user support for DOH/NYWIC staff utilizing the
OBIEE Analytics tool.
13. Provide backup support for other team members as needed.
14. Follow enterprise, cluster level, department level, and division level directives, best
practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested.

--- Required Qualifications ---
• 84 months of experience with analysis and documentation of complex
business requirements, business rules, and functional requirements
including creating business requirements documentations (BRDs), report
mockups, process flows, and functional/technical specifications.
• 84 months of experience leading meetings with business staff/subject matter
experts to elicit, document and validate business requirements.
• 60 months of experience providing production support for OBIEE/Oracle
reports, addressing incoming incidents and working with business staff, end
users or technical staff to analyze issues and document the resolution.
• 36 months of experience identifying testing scenarios, creating test cases ,
and performing testing to validate OBIEE reports, extracts or datamart ETL
and documenting defects using Client Quality center or other similar tools.
• 36 months of experience leading team meetings and tracking
discussion/status of team assignments using MS Teams, Planner or other
similar tools.
• 36 months of experience using OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence
Enterprise Edition) 11g (or higher) Business Intelligence Dashboards, or
other business intelligence tools including end user experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an
accredited institution.
• 48 months of experience eliciting and documenting requirements for data
import/export processes including business and functional requirements,
data validations, file processing requirements and exception handling.
• 36 months of experience with MS Office, Visio, SharePoint and other tools
for creating and maintaining project documentation including technical
documentation and user guides/training presentations.
• 60 Months Experience using SQL for analysis, report development, and
testing.
