The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Agile Project Manager (Experienced or Senior) (RTE) to support the E-7 program located in Tukwila, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.


This highly motivated and experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) will join to help our team supporting the USAF E-7A Rapid Prototype program. The RTE will be instrumental in ensuring the effective execution of the program by coordinating multiple teams and facilitating communication across various stakeholders.


In this role, the RTE will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of program objectives, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards common goals. The RTE will act as a servant leader, helping to remove obstacles that may impede progress and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency.


Additionally, the RTE will be responsible for tracking program performance metrics, facilitating regular status updates, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle. By maintaining a focus on program execution and delivery, the RTE will play a key role in driving the success of the E-7A program and meeting the needs of our customers.


Position Responsibilities:


+ Coordinate and facilitate software program execution activities, including planning sessions, progress reviews, and retrospectives.

+ Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of program milestones.

+ Lead efforts to identify and address challenges that may impact program execution, providing guidance and support to teams.

+ Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the teams, promoting best practices and innovative solutions.

+ Track and report on key performance metrics to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring transparency in program progress.

+ Mentor and coach Scrum Masters, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team capabilities.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):


+ 5+ years of experience in program management or project coordination within a large-scale software development environment.

+ Proven experience in a Release Train Engineer or similar role, with a focus on program execution and leadership.

+ Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

+ Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Level 4: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Experience with defense contracts.

+ Experience with Earned Value Management.

+ SAFe Release Train Engineer certification or equivalent.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Summary pay range for Experienced Level (Level 3): $101,150 - $136,850


Summary pay range for Senior Level (Level 4): $126,650 - $171,350
