THE ORGANIZATION
The Center for Justice Innovation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community safety and racial justice. Since 1996, we’ve worked alongside communities, courts, and those most directly affected by the justice system to build stronger, healthier, and more equitable neighborhoods. With a team of over 900 staff and an annual budget of $130 million, the Center carries out its mission through three core strategies:
Backed by decades of on-the-ground experience and nationally recognized expertise, we bring innovative, practical, and lasting solutions to justice systems nationwide.

Bronx Community Solutions seeks to improve the quality of criminal justice in the Bronx by reducing the use of incarceration, promoting equity, and creating safe and healthy communities. By providing alternatives to incarceration, community-based sentencing options, links to meaningful services, and community-led justice interventions, our programming keeps individuals out of jail, restores community relationships, builds local leadership, and helps participants avoid further criminal justice involvement.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Treatment Alternatives Social Worker will be responsible for supporting the clinical assessment and treatment planning procedures for alternative to incarceration diversion. Additionally, the social worker will be responsible for coordinating subsequent treatment planning meetings with case managers and providers. The Treatment Alternatives Social Worker will also provide clinical support and coverage when needed, provide support to day-to-day operations, assist with trouble shooting and provide crisis intervention strategies for more challenging cases.
