Definition of Responsibility
Under general supervision, provides ongoing, planned clinical supervision to the staff of Homeless Services Programs, including Rapid Rehousing and Housing Counseling, as well as supervision of Social Workers at shelters and Baltimore County Detention Center.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Possession of a masters degree in social work from a college or university approved by the Council of Social Work Education
plus
four years experience rendering professional social work services.
(Education beyond a masters degree from an accredited college or university in the field of social work may be substituted on a year-for year basis, up to a maximum of two years for the required experience.)
Preferred Experience
Experience in Child Protective Services Sex Abuse, In-Home Services, and/or clinical experience in working with sexual abuse/offender treatment and supervisory experience are preferred.

Licenses or Certificates
Possession of a license, issued by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners, as a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) is required at the time of application. Some positions require possession of a LCSW-Clinical license issued by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners at the time of application. Possession of a valid license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland drivers license may be required for positions at the time of appointment.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE
Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes.
Conditions of Employment
Employees must maintain licenses and certifications throughout the course of their employment. Some positions require completion of an approved training program and must pass a competency test by the second training available after appointment to this classification. Some positions in this classification may be required to respond to emergency situations and work overtime with little or no notice.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
The work of this classification is essentially sedentary but may include occasional walking, standing, and/or other limited physical activities. Some positions within this classification require traveling between work sites.

Salary
Annual Salary review - Step increases may be granted on anniversary date based on satisfactory job performance
General Increases - Cost of living increases and adjustments may be granted as legislated.
Longevity Increases - In accordance with the specific pay schedule, a full-time merit or classified employee may receive a longevity increase, equivalent to one step, upon completion of a certain number of years of classified service with the County.
