Job Summary
This position will be assigned specifically to the Children's Advocacy Center at CAMC Women & Children's Division and will serve primarily as a Forensic Interviewer. The forensic interviewer will be responsible for conducting forensic interviews with children believed to be victims of child abuse or a witness to crimes and other responsibilities directly related.
In addition to the educational and experience requirements outlined in the job description, applicants must have successfully completed a nationally recognized forensic interviewing course or must obtain such within 90 days of hiring. Experience with multi-disciplinary teams, court involvement/testimony and community-based response to allegations of child abuse and neglect are required.
Responsibilities include coordinating and conducting forensic interviews of children and adolescents alleging child abuse; participating in pre/post interview multidisciplinary case staffing; preparing written reports of interviews and testifying in both civil abuse/neglect and criminal court proceedings. The Forensic Interviewer will participate on multidisciplinary teams, administer grant-required tasks, complete monthly, quarterly and yearly grant reports and participate in peer review/supervision and assist with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Completion of Nationally Recognized Forensic Interview course. If not previously obtained must be completed within 90 days or as soon as feasible.
Participate in Multidisciplinary Team meetings
Testifying in both criminal and civil court hearings related to abuse/neglect.
Prepare written reports of interviews
Participate in peer review/supervision
Administer grant required tasks including monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
