Qualifications:

  • Appropriate NJDOE Social Studies Teacher certifications.( K-12)
  • Familiar with Common Core Standards.
  • Comprehensive certifications preferred.
  • Strong disciplinary and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and promote a safe and secure learning environment.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Social Studies lessons that promote critical thinking, historical analysis, and civic awareness.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and fosters student voice and discussion.
  • Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual and group learning needs.
  • Integrate technology and primary and secondary sources to enhance instruction and deepen student understanding.

Salary:

REA Salary Guide Range

Step 1 BA: $55,526.00 to Step 21: MA+30 $102,176.00
