About the Social Services Manager Position:

The full-time Social Services Manager will work as a salaried employee of the Social Services Department at Riddle Village. The Social Service Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the social services department and meeting the psychosocial needs of residents residing in the Skilled Nursing Facility and Independent Community, in addition to performing assigned social service functions in an efficient and timely manner while reporting directly to the Nursing Home Administrator.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree Preferred) in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Strong organization and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable of Medicare guidelines and familiarity with MDS documentation
  • Ability to develop rapport with residents, their families, and staff
  • Background and experience commensurate with long-term care services and/or geriatrics.
  • Demonstrated interest, skills, and abilities in working with and understanding the needs of aging adults.
  • Ability to interact competently with residents, families, staff, and outside agencies.
  • Advocate for residents' rights and ensure confidentiality.
