Overview:

Specialist, Social Media

 

The Specialist Social Media manages the development and execution of organic social media strategies and content for their assigned Catalyst Brand(s). The specialist will own projects for content creation, scheduling, and engagement across various platforms. Specialist will monitor analytics, track performance and help optimize campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement. Additionally, they will execute social media advertising, influencer outreach, and community management. They need to be

detail-oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.  This role will report the social media manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support implement social media strategies: follow through on production details for posting on all organic channels, maintain the editorial calendar on assigned brands.
  • Create and produce content: Develop engaging short-form video (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts), static imagery, and copy across platforms — with direction from manager and creative leads.
  • Support social media presence: develop autonomy on day-to-day activities on different platforms, including posting, interacting with followers, and moderating comments. And day to day of production details and communication with influencers and stakeholders.
  • Support data gathering and analysis of performance: documenting key metrics and KPIs, like engagement, reach, and website traffic to assess campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions in support manager and director on assigned brands.
  • Learn how to engage with audiences: Drive community engagement: Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in real time to build audience relationships and maintain a positive online community consistent with brand voice and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends: Keeping abreast of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to optimize strategies and content. 
  • Collaborate with other teams: Working with marketing, merchandising, corp comm, PR and agency partners, to ensure consistent messaging and support overall business objectives for Catalyst Brands.

 

Qualifications :

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing (brand-side or agency)
  • Demonstrated portfolio of short-form video content — TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts (your own content counts)
  • Proficiency in mobile editing tools (CapCut, InShot) and/or Adobe Premiere / Final Cut Pro
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms (Sprout Social, Sprinklr, etc)
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing platforms and creator management workflows
  • Strong copywriting skills — you can write a hook, a caption, and a CTA that actually convert
  • Comfort with in-store and on-location content capture 
  • A background in or genuine passion for fashion, style, and internet culture. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.

 

Pay Range: USD $57,200.00 - USD $104,000.00 /Yr.
