Position Summary

This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within Department of Psychiatry and CIDD. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, subject scheduling, dispensing study medications, collecting, entering, and reviewing study data, and data management. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will coordinate with the BRIC team to administer PET-MR tasks, ensure correct storage of the images, and conduct quality control of both imaging and behavioral data. The Clinical Research Coordinator will also supervise undergraduate research assistants and summer interns, and coordinate study activities with other project personnel.

Duties will also include phlebotomy to obtain blood samples, blood processing and storage, IRB regulation, preliminary literature searches and summaries, and maintenance of documentation related to clinical trials. These responsibilities require frequent contact with patients and UNC staff. The position will also assist with data sharing which is required by NIMH.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

• Knowledge in psychology, education, human services, or related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication for professional correspondence skills (position involves contact with patients and UNC Staff).
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and use discretion in making decisions.
• Ability to administer PET-MR tasks, knowledge of IRB regulation, clinical trials, and phlebotomy.
