The YMCA Sports Department is seeking a Youth Sports Soccer Coach in the Burnsville area.
Schedule: Tuesday practice 5pm-9pm Wednesday games 5pm-9pm
The salary for this position is $16.50 hourly. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.
The Soccer Sports Coach is responsible for leading soccer classes and coaching leagues to ensure that the program criteria and objectives are carried out. The incumbent is responsible for implementing curriculum, as assigned. The Sports Coach provides a safe, enjoyable experience to all program participants.
This position reports to the Sports Director/Sr. Sports Coordinator who reports to the Executive Director. The incumbent interacts regularly with staff, members, volunteers and the community. This position requires regular interaction with youth, families, and seniors from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Required
Coaching experience at any level (preferably two (2) years of exp)
Ability to attend all shifts for weekly programming
Summer League games on Wednesday evenings
Working knowledge of designated sport
Ability to complete online concussion training within 30 days of hire.
Must be self-directed, motivated, dependable and organized
Ability and interest in working with people of diverse backgrounds
Strong communication and mediation skills
