Purpose Statement:
Extra-curricular activities are an essential part of the student experience. As an Assistant Coach for Soccer, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and motivating athletes while teaching soccer-specific skills. You will also help foster positive character traits and build strong relationships with athletes both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of team practices and drills.
- Provide individual coaching to athletes, focusing on skill development.
- Support the Head Coach in managing team dynamics and game strategy.
- Promote a positive and supportive team culture.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among athletes.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff.
- Ensure student safety during practices and competitions.
Job Requirements:
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A passion for teaching and motivating students.
- Knowledge of soccer techniques and strategies.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching.
