SOC Analyst 1

Location: Harrisburg, PA
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite at 1 Technology Park | Harrisburg, PA 17110
Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; support a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Interview: On-site
Contract: 08/03/2026 - 12/31/2026. Historically, these roles are extended for an additional year.
Visas Accepted: USC, GC, GC EAD, H1B

Role Overview

Tier I level analysts will act as core members of the NSOC team, contributing to overall operational readiness and supporting a 24/7 shift schedule. Interested candidates must be willing to take on other shifts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for mission-essential communication sites and information systems.
• Classify, prioritize, and escalate alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
• Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation to meet performance targets.
• Capture, log, respond, and escalate events from email, chat, voice, and other systems with accurate documentation.
• Collect and analyze technical data to classify events, distinguish valid issues from false positives, and maintain triage accuracy standards.
• Work with team members to develop and refine playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
• Coordinate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended response actions.
• Provide support during network and security incidents, assisting with resolution efforts as directed.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 Years of experience working in a security operations center.
