Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join their client's team in Brea, CA. This temp-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work with advanced SMT production equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The SMT Operator plays a key role in the PCB assembly process, ensuring high-quality, reliable builds while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and shut down assigned equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications and production schedules.
- Notify the Machine Group Leader of any quality issues or deviations.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of leaded and non-leaded solder, especially for Jade and Wave machines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment.
- Assist in conformal coating and other production tasks as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and component identification.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions and work with hand tools.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
- Willingness to operate various machines as directed by the supervisor.
- Background check and drug screen required.
Required Work Hours
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Benefits
The position offers competitive pay ranging from $20 to $22 per hour.
Additional Details
Max Pay is $22. Min Pay is $20.
