EXAMINATIONINFORMATION
EXPERIENCE EVALUATION: An experience evaluation consists of a quantitative evaluation of an Applicant's academic training and experience pertinent to the classification for which an examination is taken, based on the statement of experience as recorded on the candidate's application and on academic training based on required credentials.
Examples of Duties
Under immediate supervision, impacts, repairs, adjusts, and services power, gang and hand mowers, and various types of small equipment, operated by 2 or 4 cycle engines. Performs related duties as required. TYPICAL TASKS: Checks and evaluates small equipment for required repairs. Performs repair and maintenance work including dismantling, replacing worn and broken parts, lubricating, cutting and fitting parts, and sharpening mowers. Rebuilds small gasoline powered motors. Reassembles and tests the preventative maintenance tasks on small equipment such as adjusting, lubricating, and inspecting. Drives to work sites as necessary to pick-up and repair specialized and small equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Three years of full-time paid experience in the repair and maintenance of small equipment operated by 2- or 4-cycle engines required. Valid State of Ohio Drivers License required. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Must have the appropriate tools to perform required duties and have the ability to work any shift assigned and overtime.
