Responsibilities:Partner with Senior SBA Credit Officer and the SBA RMs to support the Bank’s SBA Underwriting and loan approval functions.
Review SBA application submissions for completeness and eligibility according to the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Solid understanding of all SBA loan products, credit policies and procedures, as well as the ability to underwrite according to SBA SOPs in terms of structure, pricing and eligibility; recommend changes to loan structure, if necessary.
Prepare required SBA application and closing forms, as needed, in accordance with SBA SOPs.
Work with SBA RM’s and the SBA Underwriting Team to prepare approval documents, to include:
Assist in the credit aspects of all external SBA file reviews and audits, as well as internal reviews, as necessary.
Maintain Etran/CAFS system as required to accurately reflect SBA loan structure on the government systems.
Complete various training assigned by Manager which may be off-site or virtual.
Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Minimum of four (4) years of commercial credit analysis experience and a demonstrated understanding of commercial lending
Knowledge of the US Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending programs and/or other state and federal government guaranteed programs desired
Experience and understanding of commercial underwriting, structuring, risk-rating and basic loan documentation
Formal credit training in a regional bank or regulatory environment with extensive knowledge of commercial credit and bank operations is strongly preferred
Strong organizational, analytical and communications skills with the ability to work within compressed deadlines and according to federal government program protocols
Ability to handle problems/exceptions in an independent manner
Microsoft Office Proficient
Wage Range:
The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $77,000
