Director of Speech-Language Pathology

Full-Time | Scottsdale, AZ | $90k–$120k/year

Unique opportunity to develop and build a pediatric speech program alongside a clinic owner dedicated to serving children!

About the Practice

Join a growing neurodiversity-affirming practice in Scottsdale doing meaningful work with kids who learn differently! The practice includes a therapeutic K–8 academy where movement is part of the curriculum, grades aren't the measure of success, and all progress is celebrated.

The Role

This position is for the SLP who lights up when a kid finally cracks the code on reading or figures out how to hold it together in a group. It's for someone who wants to build something and not just maintain it. You'll take over a small established caseload of complex and rewarding kids, conduct in-depth assessments, supervise SLPAs, and help shape what the speech program looks like for years to come! Long-term fit matters here.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the practice owner to build a robust speech program
  • Provide individual and small group therapy sessions
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop treatment plans, including building replicable processes that hold up when things get busy
  • Supervise SLPAs and provide excellent mentorship as the speech team grows
  • Collaborate with teachers to reinforce goals in real time
  • Occasional flexibility to support the team when coverage is needed

Who's a Good Fit

  • A seasoned SLP comfortable when cases get complex or behaviors get big (7+ years experience preferred)
  • Someone who builds structure others can follow, not just execute a plan handed to them
  • Genuinely skilled with kids and families, both clinically and interpersonally
  • A leader who is willing to train and mentor SLPs and SLPAs
  • Positive, collaborative, and willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Primary focus areas: literacy, math, writing, group and social skills, executive functions
  • A team player looking for a long-term opportunity!
  • Must have Arizona Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Can start part-time in the summer, build to full-time in fall (at least 30 hours/week)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $90k-$120k/year, commensurate with experience and skill set
  • Sign-on bonus negotiable
  • Performance- or skill-based bonuses open to discussion
  • Employer contribution toward health, vision, and dental
  • 401(k) with 3.5% employer match
  • PTO + sick days; paid holidays
  • PLI and ASHA dues covered
  • CEU budget
  • Mileage reimbursed between locations
  • Laptop and desk provided
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • All benefits open to negotiation; benefits will grow as the team grows!
