Position Objective:

Our Slotting and Location Coordinator manages the WMS configuration of all physical storage locations. Use system data to analyze current state with a goal of maximizing putaway and picking efficiency. Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day location maintenance with a concentration on pickfaces and product flow. Actively participate in the new WMS implementation.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Run WMS/ERP queries frequently to obtain and analyze location, item and volume data.
• Continuously monitor the picking velocity of repack items that are or could be assigned to a pickface.
• Maximize picking efficiency by assigning fast moving items to a pickface and removing slow movers.
• Determine products where more than one pickface may be beneficial.
• Ensure new items are assigned to appropriately sized slots to maximize space utilization.
• Determine the best min/max values for each slot (rounded to case quantity) and assist with all replenishment parameters.
• Create new pickfaces as needed in the flow rack, eight locations and A level tall rack locations in the WMS and set up the physical locations to include labeling.
• Ensure all pickface location attributes are configured correctly and maintained in the WMS.
• All the above for CCP (conveyorable case pick) locations.
• Ensure CCP items will fit and travel on the conveyor.
• Responsible for proper configuration of all storage locations, all buildings. This includes but not limited to dimensions, put zones, pick zones, pick/put sequence.
• Monitor and action dynamic location flags such as "out of service" & "location full".
• Ensure all locations have a visible, scannable label on the rack, floor, wall or suspended from the ceiling.
• Actively participate as a team member in the new WMS implementation to set up and test all the above.
• Introduce, set up and test new processes such as "single unit picks" and "dynamic slotting".
• Work with cross-functional leads (shipping, inventory control, putaway, receiving) regarding location problems and improvements.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to slotting and picking efficiencies.
• Future responsibilities will include item configuration reviews, particularly putaway list selection.

Position Requirements Include:

• Associates degree and/or 2 years' experience in an operations environment.
• Familiar with WMS software preferred.
• Experience with running queries a plus.
• Experience using a RF gun and operating lift equipment preferred.
• Demonstrates logical analysis and problem-solving skills. Proactive, self-directed, with an intellectual curiosity for analyzing and interpreting information.
• Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills, able to handle many projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing workload.
• Ability to identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
