Overview:
The goal of the Slotting Analyst is to reduce costs through optimized slotting efficiencies, reducing replenishments for Stockers and increased productivity for Pickers. Additional goals are to reduce the number of times that a product is handled throughout the facility and to maximize production through effective item placement and warehouse analysis that increases productivity. Consideration will need to be given to seasonal trends and product on promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all slot and product specific slotting criteria. (Slot Capacities, volume etc)
- Run warehouse slotting report in order to review potential moves by department
- Create top efficiency moves by department
- Create and execute critical moves
- Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize cost effectiveness
- Provides assistance to warehouse operations as needed, including pick/pack activities, location replenishment, and machine operation (fork-lifts, etc.)
- Report issues and trends to management
- Slot new items / Update product information
- Monitor, Record, and Keep Records of all Slotting activities
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have a HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years previous inventory control, slotting, or relative experience in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual preferred (English / Spanish)
- Microsoft office proficiency, experience with Excel & Access preferred
- Proven analytical, communication, and adaptive planning skills
- Strong Knowledge of various WMS systems (Emphasis on PKMS)
- Ability to be self-motivated and work independently
- Strong communications skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment to ensure consistent and acceptable results where warehouse associates are concerned
- Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient mathematical skills
- Flexible work hours and schedules to support operations
- Capable of sitting for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, squat, and reach, on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to pull and push up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers for repetitive movements with finger dexterity and light to strong grip.
