Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Wildfire Mitigation / PSPS Business Analyst to support a local utility's growing Emergency Management function. The position plays a central role in establishing and leading the utility's wildfire mitigation and Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) programs amid increasing climate‑driven risk from rising temperatures, drought, and extreme weather. This position is responsible for end‑to‑end planning, coordination, and implementation of wildfire mitigation and PSPS capabilities across the organization.
This role will partner with the enterprise Risk Division to lead foundational program design-working cross‑functionally to develop situational awareness tools, decision‑support processes, plans, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The role blends strategic planning, operational coordination, and analytical rigor to ensure wildfire risk reduction actions are defensible, repeatable, and well‑integrated with emergency response and stakeholder needs. This is a contract position with an opportunity to apply for the permanent role.
