SL 1st Shift Operator

Nesco Resource is currently seeking a SL Operator for a manufacturing facility in Gray Court, SC.
This position is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, assisting with machine setup, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Operate production equipment within established operating standards.
• Monitor raw materials, finished products, and equipment for defects or process deviations.
• Assist with machine setup, operation, and product changeovers.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain production records and monitor product quality.
• Conduct routine safety audits and report any concerns.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and production-ready throughout the shift.
• Support team operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Fill in for the Lead Operator when necessary.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Understanding of the metric system preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Textile, nonwoven, carding, or related manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
