A Day in This Role

Morning starts with a review of your pipeline in the ATS and quick follow-ups to HVAC Technicians and Welders you screened yesterday. By mid-morning, you're in a calibration call with a client’s Project Manager to align on priorities and culture. After lunch, you launch a creative sourcing sprint—targeted job boards, social channels, referral outreach, and industry communities. Late afternoon brings an in-depth interview with a Sheet Metal Mechanic, a salary negotiation for a Foreman, and a few coaching calls to prepare candidates for client panels. You wrap by logging activity, evaluating market trends, and planning tomorrow’s outreach before heading to an industry networking event.

Your Impact

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle for skilled trades candidates—from sourcing and screening to placement and onboarding support.
  • Design and run inventive sourcing strategies across job boards, social platforms, referrals, networking, and industry outreach.
  • Build and sustain pipelines of high-caliber talent (HVAC Technicians, Pipe Fitters, Plumbers, Sheet Metal Mechanics, Welders, Foremen, Supervisors, Project Managers, and more) to drive repeat placements and a resilient network.
  • Develop long-term relationships with candidates to understand goals and create lasting career pathways.
  • Conduct rigorous interviews to assess technical capabilities, experience, cultural alignment, and ambitions.
  • Partner closely with clients to grasp workforce needs, hiring priorities, and organizational culture.
  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience from first touch to offer acceptance.
  • Negotiate offers and facilitate successful hiring outcomes for all parties.
  • Keep meticulous records and activity within our ATS.
  • Stay current on labor market shifts, industry developments, and recruiting best practices.
  • Represent 10X Workforce at trade events, networking functions, and career fairs.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience is required—ideally within skilled trades, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or staffing (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades roles and labor market dynamics.
  • Standout communication, interviewing, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, and motivated by results.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven sourcing and candidate development chops.
  • Fluency with ATS platforms and recruiting technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
