Six Spindle Screw Machine Set Up

Shift: 1st, (7am-3:30pm)

Pay:  $26-$35/hr (Based on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Six Spindle Screw Machine Set Up Technician to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Description:
  • Set up and operate six spindle screw machines including Acme-Gridley and New Britain equipment according to blueprints, setup sheets, and job travelers
  • Load raw materials, tooling, and fixtures into machines
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and comparators
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and basic GD&T requirements
  • Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues and communicate concerns to supervision when necessary
  • Perform routine machine maintenance including lubrication, chip removal, and tool changes
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to meet manufacturing goals
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience operating or setting up screw machines or similar metalworking equipment
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances
  • Proficiency using precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
