We are seeking a Field Provider Relations Representative to support healthcare providers throughout the Austin area. This unique remote position combines the flexibility of working from home with the opportunity to meet providers face to face, strengthen relationships, and promote compliance with Medicaid policies and program requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

As the primary field representative for your assigned territory, you will:

  • Visit healthcare providers in person through both scheduled and unscheduled site visits
  • Build strong professional relationships with providers throughout your territory
  • Educate providers on Medicaid policies, procedures, and available resources
  • Ensure providers remain compliant with Medicaid program requirements
  • Manage your daily travel schedule and territory independently
  • Utilize reports and internal systems to prioritize provider visits and workload
  • Document provider interactions accurately and timely
  • Participate in virtual team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative initiatives
  • Monitor performance metrics while meeting contractual and program expectations
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between providers and internal program teams

 

What We're Looking For

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in each of the following:

  • State Medicaid programs
  • Provider facing healthcare support or provider relations
  • Travel and expense processing
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Professional communication with internal and external stakeholders

 

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of Medicaid policies and provider resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building abilities
  • Strong organizational and territory management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving

  • Experience utilizing reports and tracking tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

 

What You'll Need

  • Must reside in the Austin, Texas area
  • Reliable personal vehicle for daily travel
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel up to three hours each direction within your assigned territory
  • Comfortable working remotely while managing an active field schedule
