Work closely with project managers, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of site activities.
Support industry-leading HSE programs including risk assessment, emergency response, environmental protection, and behavior-based safety initiatives.
Summary:
The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for site-level supervision and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements for construction and commissioning activities.
This role ensures that all site operations comply with OSHA regulations, client requirements, environmental standards, and Voith Hydro's HSE Management System, while actively engaging the workforce to promote a strong safety culture. The SSHO serves as the primary on-site HSE resource, providing real-time oversight, guidance, and support to ensure safe and compliant execution of all work activities.
