Parker Aerospace, Simi Valley, CA - Fire, Safety, and Power Division site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering, through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing ending with delivery to the customers.

Parker Aerospace is a worldwide leader in multiple Commercial and Military Aerospace product lines including Fire and Smoke Detection and Extinguishing systems, Bleed Air Overheat detection systems, Actuators, Rudder Pedal Assemblies, Pumps, Fuel Gauging Systems, High-Temperature cables, and more.

Parker Aerospace, Simi Valley, CA - Fire, Safety, and Power Division is also a key supplier to select Energy markets including Nuclear gas Analyzers and Nuclear containment vessel penetration Cables. We work directly with the largest global aerospace companies including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, and many others.

SITE QUALITY MANAGER (AEROSPACE)

The Site Quality Manager (DQM) will provide leadership and management of the quality function at the facility, in accordance with all applicable company and U.S. Government regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that quality program policies, plans, standards and requirements are met at the facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Assure quality requirements are adequately defined at all functional levels to permit appropriate quality planning and verification of compliance.
  • CoordinateTQM efforts across business units.
  • Identify, develop and implement new methods of quality management and systems, and audit existing systems to meet division initiatives, ISO9000, and othercustomer requirements.
  • Provide quality oriented leadership in achieving facility quality objectives. Interfaces with internal and external customers to provide comprehensive responses and technical assistance regarding quality systems and/or products.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance activities for all purchased material, equipment, parts, and processing.
  • Manage supplier quality audits andcorrective action plans. Integrate and monitor supplier quality performance with divisional objectives.
  • Utilize automated systems where available to proactively plan, implement and track quality systems and processes.- Maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Education requirement: min. Bachelors Degree in an Engineering, Technical or related discipline.
  • Year of experience: minimum 5-7 years of Quality, Engineering or related experience.
  • Must have Aerospace industry experience.
  • Certification (Nice to have): Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQ Manager) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Years of experience: minimum 5 7 years applicable experience in a world-class manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • Effective facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Total Quality concepts and ISO procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical improvement methods, and corrective action development experience.
  • Managerial experience, with demonstrated ability to provide leadership and motivation to employees.
  • Limited travel will be required.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $120,500 to $210,950 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
