Job Description

Alabama State University, Academic Affairs, invites applications to fill the position of Site Facilitator for GEAR UP Programs. Site Facilitators serve as the on site primary point of contact for the ASU GEAR UP program participants, parents and school administrators. They work closely with middle and high school students, teachers and counselors to provide services geared toward increasing college and career readiness and academic success. Site Facilitators will manage all site specific activities and will collaborate with school staff and partners to implement educational resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Site facilitator (facilitators) will manage all building-specific activities and collaborate with counselors and teachers to implement interventions
  • Transition with the cohort as students progress toward graduation.
  • Plan ASU-GU activities in collaboration with the director and coordinator
  • Execute plans successfully with partner support
  • Provide students with college and career planning services
  • Connect students to wraparound services
  • Assist with data collection for project evaluation

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in education, school administration, social work, counseling, or a related field, 3 years of experience working directly with high-need secondary school students, have strong project management skills, and be details oriented are required.
