About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking dedicated and skilled Site Engineer to join our Power T&D Team, based in England (various locations)
Join our Power T&D business as a Site Engineer and benefit from our comprehensive 13-week Upskilling Programme, designed to accelerate your professional growth and equip you with the latest industry competencies. This structured programme blends core and mandatory training, including health and safety, first aid, and digital skills. With advanced modules in project management, technical documentation, environmental sustainability, and commercial awareness. Through immersive learning environments, hands-on technical sessions, and exposure to cutting-edge digital tools, you'll gain practical expertise in supervising complex site operations, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
The programme also features dedicated project shadowing and a final capability assessment, providing you with real-world experience and the confidence to lead teams on live projects. You'll develop key skills in leadership, planning, incident response, and stakeholder communication, all while building a strong foundation for future career progression within the organisation. By the end of the 13 weeks, you'll be fully prepared to take on the challenges of a Site Engineer role, with a clear pathway for ongoing development and advancement in the Power T&D sector.

£Competitive - Depending on experience + excellent benefits including Site Allowances, Company Car and Subsistence Allowances (Subject to T&C's of role)
Hours - 45 per week
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects from planning and design through to commissioning, handover and close out. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, you'll interpret technical solutions and drawings, brief delivery teams clearly, and help ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and right first time. You'll also monitor progress, maintain accurate project records, support reporting and reviews, and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to keep delivery on track in line with programme, cost, quality and safety requirements.
Who we're looking for
To join us in this role you will need to have a minimum of HNC Electrical and must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
Ideally you will have some or most of the following:
The training course is to start early August and you must be available to attend all 13 weeks of the training programme.
