We're seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to drive operational excellence while directly impacting associate well‑being.Responsibilities As a WHS Manager, you will lead the Global WHS Program implementation, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity. You will:Drive safety initiatives and influence positive change across operations.Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct site audits, and analyze incident trends.Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities.Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in our safety mission.Core Impact Areas Safety Leadership & Innovation – Transform safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and leverage technology and data analytics to protect associates and enhance operational excellence.Strategic Partnership & Influence – Build partnerships with Operations leadership, influence decision‑making, and balance safety excellence with operational demands.Additional Job Elements Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures.Continuously climb and descend stairs (for sites with stairs).Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.Preferred Qualifications Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.Master's degree.Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization.Certified Safety Professional.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.Benefits The base salary range for this position is listed below.
