Site/Civil Project Manager

GMC is seeking a driven and experienced Site/Civil Project Manager to join our Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in site/civil design, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with both clients and team members. In this role, you will lead and grow client relationships while mentoring and developing a talented and expanding site/civil team. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of projects spanning commercial, institutional, municipal, and residential sectors—offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of project types and scales. At GMC, we take pride in delivering impactful work across public and private sectors, including commercial, educational, institutional, and residential developments—giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesOverseeing site/civil efforts on a variety of projects and having the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, stormwater/drainage, infrastructure, erosion & sediment control from concept through completionStormwater management design/reports, Hydraulic and Hydrology analysis, SWPPP preparationManaging site/civil workflowMaintaining understanding of local and state agency requirementsMeeting with clients, project team members, government agencies and contractors as necessaryCoordinating with permit and entitlement manager to assure all applicable site related permits submittals are made and following through as-builts and platting through project closeoutTraining and mentoring fellow civil designers and internsPerforming QA/QC review on civil plans and reportsMaintaining and building client relationshipsTime management, team management and organizational skills to drive profitability of projectsTraveling as dictated by projects, clients and company functions.
