Pcc Site And Outreach Coordinator For Veterans Upward Bound

Colorado State University Pueblo is seeking applications for a PCC Site and Outreach Coordinator for Veterans Upward Bound.

This role leads the day-to-day operations of the Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program at Pueblo Community College, serving as a central hub of support for veteran students. The Site Coordinator manages the PCC location, supervises staff and instructors, and ensures the Veterans Lounge is a welcoming, fully resourced space for connection and academic support. From overseeing tutoring and instructional services to coordinating materials, schedules, and campus partnerships, this position plays a critical role in creating an environment where veterans can thrive. It also serves as the primary liaison between VUB and PCC, fostering strong collaboration to support program success.

Beyond site management, this role provides comprehensive advising and case management for veteran participants. The position supports students from intake through program completion by maintaining records, tracking progress, developing individualized plans, and ensuring compliance with federal grant requirements. In addition, the Site Coordinator leads outreach and recruitment efforts across Pueblo and Fremont Counties, building relationships with local organizations, promoting program services, and advocating for veteran students. This is a mission-driven opportunity for someone passionate about serving the veteran community and expanding access to education through impactful programming and partnerships.

Salary Range $51,000 to $55,000

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Knowledge of Veteran culture and community.
  • Experience in a position or activity that required proficient verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with students reported as first generation, those from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, or veteran populations
  • Experience that required or resulted in understanding of the impact of military service culture on learning
  • Good written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Membership or association with local community veteran's organizations
  • Knowledge of G.I. Bill Certifying
  • Official Certification Process
  • Experience with StudentAccess Database
  • Honorably discharged veteran
  • Knowledge about veteran's educational benefits
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing and managing grant proposals
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office; including Access
  • Demonstrated experience and sensitivity working with low- income and first-generation students
  • Experience with managing or being a part of an academic or tutorial program
  • Experience developing partnerships and community resource development
  • Experience working with at-risk, low income communities
